April 10, 2025 – After the success of “London Ruling” last year – a taste praised Stephen Spourier's facility in 1976 “Paris Referee”, which gained attention all over the world – London's wine exhibition announced the issue of tasting the icon this year: “Battle of Bubbles”.
The Battle of Battle will be a double -blind taste that will see the best champagne that it tasted against exceptional sparkling wine from all over the world. Wines will be chosen by Sarah Abbott Megaout, wine marketing consultant, co -founder of the old nerve committee judge and IWSC Committee judge, and Ronan Sibourne, CEO of the Somilors Court. It will be tasted at the exhibition on Monday, May 19, and the results will be announced at the lead center on Wednesday, May 21, 14:00.
As with London's rule last year, the Battle of the Bubles will be sentenced to about 20 of the most more tasteful wine industry, including Masters of Wine, Master Sommeres, and the wine book specialized in champagne and sparkling alcohol. This year's judges include: Sam Kapoorne Megaout; Mattheu Longuere MS; Jane Raxon.
Tasting in the examination conditions will be in a private room in Olympia. Alcohol will be tasted in pairs according to the types of style, grape varieties, terroir, age, and production methods. 12 pairs of wine will be tasted for three hours. The condition of each wine will be examined in advance by Abbott and Siborne and served by the top of the game. Out of 10 wine will be recorded, and half signs are allowed. With 20 judges, every wine will then have the final result of 200. The total result of the Champagne will be announced versus the rest of the world. The registration system allows six main results. As with the taste of the icon last year, the results may not be final, but it is expected to give a signal to whether there is a flat platform across the best sparkling wine areas in the world.
Sarah Abbott Megaout commented: “Various wine is a prosperous and dynamic category that surpasses champagne performance in the UK market. However, the dominance of champagne in the perception of Brezel is not accomplished. I am excited to see how this great wine is evaluated by the crack team of judges when they stop blind.”
“The sparkling wine producers who make Cava Paraje, VDP Sekt Prestige and Prosecco Cartize raised their game – can their expressions now compete with the quality and status of champagne?”
“Last year, London's rule has become one of the main conversation points in the show, with the wine world that carries his collective breaths. It is scheduled that this year's repetition is to host what is expected last year, all this revolves around excellence in the world. The wine exhibition will be held in Olympia from 19 to 21 May.
