The UK Paul Roger's portfolio acquired Cult Australian Winary Mount Mary, where the upscale Yarra Valley product is far from the global distribution system, La Place de Bordeaux.
This was announced yesterday, the development believes that Mount Mary becomes the third Australian wine of Paul Roger, where he joined Moline Vintraz and Voyageer Estate, and two wonderful Australian wine factories in Gilong and the Margaret River respectively.
An exclusive spokesperson for DB about the addition of Mount Mary, the administrative director of Paul Roger James Simpson Megagon said that the importer “trusts the wine trade in the UK and his faith in Australia.”
He also said that Mount Mary is suitable for Pol Roger's parameters working with “Top, Opening Products and ONDERED Products”, during the comment, “They are kind people”, referring to the Middleton family that runs the property.
While Simpson said that “there will be a lot of stocks” for Mount Marie, who makes only four types of wine, he said that wine “was great and not expensive.”
He believes that the UK hotel and restaurants sector will want to obtain alcohol, as the Middleton family would like to see Mount Marie as a distinctive, which may explain the product's decision to stay away from La Place de Bordeaux – which witnessed the distribution of Australian wine worldwide by French Negociants.
It was established in 1971 in Coldsterim, Yara Valley, by Dr. John and Marley Middleton, Mount Mary was the leading product of the region.
Today it has 16 hectares of chrome cultivated farms with 18 grape type. Now at the head of the third generation of Sam and Klir Middleton, brother and sister. Sam runs the winery and runs the distribution and sales. This new generation has brought a renewed focus on generosity, avoiding chemical herbal pesticides and planting new plots previously not drawn. In 2024, Mount Marie was in fifth place in the 100 best wine factories in Halidai's wine companion.
Four types of wine are made in Mount Mary, the most famous of this cawalite, a Bordeaux mix of Cabernit Sophingon, Merlot, Cabernit Frank, Betit Verdot and Malabek. Besides this is a small amount of Pinot Noir. On eggs, there is white “triolet” similar to Bordeaux, and it consists of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Muscadelle and Cardonnay.
The partnership with Pol Roger Portfolio will witness that the importer focuses on independent retail and trade in the United Kingdom, while continuing to provide the field of the private customer through Berry Bros. & Rudd.
Polger Portfolio's invasion of Australian wine began two years ago with Mulline Vintns and Voyageer Estate.
The Mount Mary Full Group will be available to taste the members of the press and trade in London on March 4 and Manchester on March 6 to taste the Paul Roger wallet.
Mount Marie joins the producers of the family, which includes champagne Paul Roger, Mason Joseph Derhin, Domain Fashiron, Bodigas Artadi, Cornell Fenniad, Bryant East, Robert Cesky Chrome, Veniard Stagenin family, Abi, Kinsman Eds. Sandrone, Multine Vintns, Voyageer Estate as well as Glenfarclas Highland Malt and Leiper's Fork Distillery.
