March 5, 2025-on Monday, 3 March, Star Wine List and Jupiter hosted a prizes at Winemakers Club in Farringdon, London, to announce the best wine lists in the UK. In the fifth version of Star Wine List of the Year UK with Jupiter, the highest honor per night went to Hexham HJEM (winners of the best short menu and Grand Prix) with Gold Stars also to Wild Corner, Hide and oma; Among the winners of other places from the country MOR Hall (Aoughton, Lancashire), The Terrace Rooms and Wine (Ventnor, Isle of WIGHT) and where the light (Stockport, Greater Manchester) enters.
The Star Wine of the Year awards celebrate the world's greatest wine lists – and the teams behind them. At Star Wine List of the Year UK with Jupiter, Gold Stars was awarded in 13 categories, with winners in international groups qualified to obtain the international wine list, which will be held in Vienna, in June 2025.
After receiving a record number of entries, this year's event included local categories of the best Italian wine list, the best Spanish wine list, and in the first list of publishers, the best wine list (sponsored by Miralfal). The latter was a topic full of judges, who included Stephen, Nina Jensen, Jan Konetzki, local expert, Coena Wong Mosque.
“Emotion, skill and deep knowledge poured into wine programs throughout the UK clearly puts a standard for others to follow up,” says Jensen. “Throughout (competition), we have seen amazing curiosity, a distinctive style, carefully suitable options with strong identities. A dynamic wine scene as it was always, and praises the jury with the inspiration that all it brings!”
